Way back October 2012, an officemate turned really good friend turned 29. We thought it was about time to give back. We did not plan to do something really big nor extravagant, we just wanted to share. Our intentions were pure and true. After months of planning, we did it! We went a little over the budget, but it happened anyway.
We chose a school farther away from the city. It was where
my Auntie served as a public school teacher for many years. We had originally
planned to provide lunch to undernourished kids, but the date we chose
conflicted with a Girl Scout activity. We ended up giving/providing free lunch
to random kids. A little far from what I wanted, but hey, to see those smiles
and receive those ‘Thank you’s’ from the children, even the teachers and
parents was somehow fulfilling.
The little activity would not have been possible without the
help of the Three Stooges.
