Gusto Ko Ng Baboy: Another Baboy Feast

After a stressful night at work, one could sure use a good breakfast.

And what a way to start the weekend and time off from work...

Another baboy feast....

Apparently, Anthony Bourdain said, 'Best Pig... Ever!', so we got a bit curious. I'm not really much into lechon (maybe after years and years of eating roasted pig-some yummy, some not, I just am not always craving for it anymore..), but what got me really interested is the Kamias (Iba) Shake.

We headed out to Zubuchon in the Island Stays Hotel in Pusok, Lapu-lapu City.

The place is really cozy. The Island Stays Hotel was like a small comfortable Inn or a Bed&Breakfast. And Zubuchon was like a nice, friendly diner. I actually liked the atmosphere.

It was waaaaaaay too early for Lechon, so we got ourselves some breakfast. Longganisa or chorizo for me, and Pritchon for MM. The Longganisa was not that good though. MM's pritchon was just like the Bisaya version of Adobo. The food therefore was not as impressive as I thought, but they looked yummy.

And the dessert (turon--banana in lumpia wrapper and caramel), was not really good. I mean I've tasted better. And, the caramel was way too sweet.

The food was just so-so, but this was probably the best part of breakfast.. Yes, the Kamias shake! I loved it so!

All in all, Zubuchon gets a 6 out of 10. I say, go and try.

Love Generation: The Give Back Project (The Preview)

Last Friday (October 19, 2012), we finally did it. A 'Give Back Project).

Small, warm meals were packed and ready to be delivered to school children.

Why must our children play in the streets?
Broken hearts and faded dreams
Peace and love to everyone that you meet
Don't you worry, it could be so sweet..

I Got A Feeling

Warning: THIS IS A SUPER LATE POST/UPLOAD. (What?! I try to have a life, but fail most of the time!)

Warning, warning: What I wrote down are all based on what I can remember. And uhm, that event was 3-4 months ago, so feel free to protest if what I wrote down is wrong.

I think this is the first ever PM-DP-SP-QA gathering. Not everyone was able to make it (mostly from PM39), but 95% went and got to spend the day with officemates we work with everyday.

We called it '39er's Team Building 2012'.

Not sure about everyone else because I do not really join such gatherings (yeah, yeah!) but in all fairness, I enjoyed it a lot. I mostly keep to myself or just people I know. I do not do the 'friendly and outgoing' thing, but I found the team building/gathering rather pleasurable.

It was held at Senen's Mountain Resort.

The place was not really that awesome. Infact, there was nothing too special about it plus it was pretty damn far. It had an advantage though. We all went there together and majority of the participants left together, so most of us got to spend the whole day playing and straining our vocal chords on the videoke machine.

There was a swimming pool, some of us took a dip after the games Zarra and Zaida prepared. Some of us took advantage of the pool table, too.

The foods were yummy, but it seemed bitin! I don't know, maybe, we just chose poorly/unwisely, but it really wasn't enough for everyone (no second serving for all, so IT WAS BITIN). Or maybe I was expecting plenty or huge servings for everyone because Senen's was afterall known for their Catering Services.

All in all, it was a fun day. I got to spend the day, laughing, cheering, teasing people I barely said a word to.

Here are Jee's jumpshot. No, I still do not get the idea why people must have 'jump shots' in places they go to, but if it floats their boats, then yeah, go for it. I'm no professional photographer, so forgive the errr ugly shots.

Other than the chance to get to know everyone on the team, I got another glimpse of the buhay probinsya. How nice it seemed. The very laidback, easygoing everyday life really got me drooling and itching to find a place near the mountains

This one here is my favorite of all the pictures I took that day.. Still kinda makes me smile looking at the bee whispering to the pretty yellow flower..

Let's do it..
Let's do it..
Let's do it..
Let's live it up!!
